This is a quick and easy recipe to dress up French bread. I found the recipe in a Taste of Home Magazine.
- 88.74 ml butter, softened
- 2.46 ml garlic powder
- 9.85 ml dried parsley
- 2.46 ml dried oregano
- 4.92 ml grated parmesan cheese
- 1 loaf French bread, sliced
- In a small bowl, combine first five ingredients.
- Spread butter mixture on one side of each bread slice.
- Either wrap loaf in foil and bake at 350F for 20-25 minutes or broil on medium until slightly browned to your preference.
Only change I made was to slice a clove of garlic and allow it to set in the softened butter until the flavors blended. Used that instead of the garlic powder. Also, I broiled the bread because we like the browned appearance and taste. Another fabulous recipe from Kim. Thanks for sharing it.
This is a great recipe! Far more creative than regular garlic bread! I made S'kat's Fresh Baguette and used this on it. Wonderful--didn't change a thing. Thanks for this idea!
