  1. Boil water. Add butter, sugar, nutmeg, lemon juice & rind. Cook over medium heat until butter melts. Remove from stove. Combine egg and cornstarch, stir until absorbed. Add to lemon mixture. Cook until thick. Serve warm over cake or other sweets.
