Grandmother's Peach Fuzz

""This is a fantastic rum based drink. It cannot be made virgin, the rum is the key ingredient! The peach skins add a lovely bit of color. Canned peaches do not work as well.""

  1. Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum! I LOVED the fresh peaches in this drink. I was worried about leaving the peach skins on, but they blended in just fine. This is so flavorful and that peach flavor really comes through. The limeade makes it pretty sweet, so I don't think I'll add that additional sugar next time. This drink was a winner with us! Thank you!!

  2. Oh, Yummers! I believe that using the skin-on peaches and spiced rum is essential, as it provided lots of good flavor, setting it apart from the rest! My rum was over 30 years old, bought by my husband when he visited Jaimaca a waaays back. This will impress anyone and the tastier your peaches, the tastier your drink will be. Thanks so much for sharing this keeper, Lavender Lynn. Made it for Seaside Brasserie - 2020.

  3. Wow - this is good! I cut the recipe in half and it made a really good sized drink - not that I minded at all! Limeade is a bit too sweet, so I used less than half and it was still outstanding. The peaches were sweet, super ripe and oh-so-good. Thanks for sharing - we'll be making this again!

  4. Wow, was this good Lynn, I scaled down and got one large drink. Was it ever wonderful. I didn't know that I loved peach and lime together so much, of course the rum doesn't hurt. They blended beautifully together, resulting in a lovely frozen peach masterpiece. Truly, so very good. I'll be making this for my sil this weekend... She is going to love it. Kudos on making it into my Best of 2020 Cookbook. Made for this summer's Seaside Brasserie. You will note, I was greedy and did not use a margarita glass, it wasn't big enough. ?
