  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup water, cold
  • 4 12 cups pork, juices boiling hot or 4 1/2 cups gravy, boiling hot
  • 1 -2 cup pork, ground cooked or 1 -2 cup pork, shredded cooked
  • 2 12 teaspoons salt
  • 12 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Bell's seasoning

  • In a large saucepan, combine cornmeal and the cold water. Add the remaining ingredients and boil until thickened.
  • Pour into a greased loaf pan. When cooled, put the pan into the fridge overnight. Run a knife around the edge of pan to loosen and remove scrapple. Slice into 1" pieces and fry both sides in butter on top of stove until browned. Serve warm.
