  1. In a small saucepan, mix yolk, sour cream and sugar.
  2. Cook, stirring, until thick, about 3 minutes.
  3. Cool.
  4. Stir in rum.
  5. Pour over pears in an oven proof dish.
  6. Sprinkle with brown sugar.
  7. Broil.
  8. Serve.
