- 1 lb green beans, ends trimmed
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1⁄8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- In large skillet, over high heat, cook beans in 1/2 cup water until crisp-tender, about 10 minutes.
- Drain; place in serving bowl.
- In same skillet over low heat, melt butter.
- Stir in honey and nutmeg; cook until heated through, about 1 to 2 minutes.
- Pour sauce over beans.
