Gig's Amaaazing Crock-Pot Chili

"This is a recipe found in a Crock-Pot cookbook my stepmother bought when she invested in a slow cooker. It has become a family favorite for us, and is one of my most beloved meals of all time! There are some subtitutions we make in my family for this recipe. In the original recipe, the ground meat is regular hamburger, but we use turkey burger because we just think it tastes better and know it's healthier. We also only use a quarter tablespoon of chili powder as opposed to a half tablespoon, because there are some sensitive stomachs among us."
