  1. recipe sucks followed step by step and it still has the consistency of soup

  2. excellent icing......just like my mother made when I was a little girl!!

  3. Wow, just wow! I'm not a big fan of baking because of the preciseness of it all... but this is just amazing! I used evaporated milk since I didn't have regular milk, and it came out just fine.At first it looks like this wouldn't make a good frosting but after beating this it just transforms! It would appear that you still need to frost/ice your cake while it is still warm/hot or it will become too stiff! But that gives me an idea... If you let it boil longer than one minute and beat it like that... let it cool, and you've practically got tootsie rolls! The other folks are right about needing to double the recipe, but this makes a great FILLING for cakes too! Excellent, excellent. A new family classic for sure.

  4. Easy to make. Also it was excellent for cupcakes when you prefer a firm icing. It was delicious but It was a bit too sweet for us. Next time I will reduce the sugar to just under a cup and see how it works out.

  5. This was SO good! I tried it on a white cake and it was a total hit. But I would consider doubling the recipe next time, as it made less than I expected.
