With different amounts, this would work better. I used a 3.4-oz. package of pudding mix and 2 cups of half-and-half. If you are concerned about the fat content, skim milk works, too, but it turns out not as creamy. My kids' favorite flavors so far are chocolate and banana cream.

I think the amounts must be wrong. With equal amounts of pudding mix and cream you end up with an extremely thick paste. I kept adding milk to try and make it "pourable" but even then I had to spoon it into the molds. They were even thicker when they were frozen and I had to dig them out with a knife. They tasted good but they weren't the right consistancy. Sorry!

I'm not going to rate this because I did not follow the directions exactly, but don't try substituting milk for the cream. It just did not turn out right.
