  1. in a small mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
  2. beat in egg and vanilla.
  3. combine the flour and cocoa.
  4. gradually add to creamed mixture.
  5. stir in the walnuts.
  6. coat a 6 inch round springform pan with nonstick cooking spray and dust with sugar.
  7. add the batter.
  8. place pan on a baking sheet.
  9. bake at 350 degrees for 20-25.
  10. minutes or until a toothpick, inserted near the center comes out clean.
  11. cool on a wire rack.
  12. remove sides of pan.
  13. in a small bowl, combine frosting ingredients.
  14. spread over the pie.
