Fresh Fruit Flip

"Like fresh fruit? Try this when they're in season! The recipe is from the 1967 cookbook 'so good with FRUIT' from Better Homes and Gardens. Preparation time does not include chilling time."

  1. Yummy!! I omitted the raspberries and added strawberries instead. I also crushed the fruit in my blender to get a finer texture. Since I made 2 servings for my DSS and 2 for Dh and I, I added some Triple Sec to ours. So good and refreshing!

  2. How can anything you post be anything but good, Syd. Enjoyed this so very much. I haven't made anything which I had to "muddle", but now that I have "experience", I think I'll go out and find some more to "muddle." Thnx for posting, Syd. Made for My-3-Chefs 2008.

  3. This is absolutely delicious! We made this for our guests and they enjoyed each fruity sip. It is versatile as we can use any fruit in season. Thank you Sydney Mike for a refreshing and yummy drink.

  4. Took this to a dinner party last night, and served it ONLY to the adults---we all LOVED it! I used frozen raspberries (from last year's garden!) and canned peach halves----everything else as written in the recipe. Oh, well, I also coarsely chopped the fruit, then pulsed it a few times in my blender, to get it a bit finer. When I make this the next time (and there WILL be a next time!), I will blend it more finely, so that we don't even have to chew!!! And I suppose we'll add "something" adult-like with the "carbonated lemon-lime beverage" too....one guy last night suggested vodka. Mmm. I thought a rose' wine, too.. Such potential. Okay Syd....you got a winner here!

  5. Great drink, Syd! I changed things around a little bit on account of mine and hubby's mood this afternoon. I followed the recipe exactly as far as ingredients, but Bill wanted it whirled around in the blender to smooth it out. And...we felt compelled to add vodka!! It was FAB and we will make this again. Thanks!
