Fast snack shake

"Contains milk and fruit--not sugar. I am tired at the end of the day, and hate cooking. This is fast nutrition that tastes good. I use cherries as sweetener because refined sugar often makes me feel a bit off."

directions

  • Throw all of the ingredients in a blender.
  • Whiz in blender till the peaches are thoroughly chopped.
  • The frozen fruit acts upon the milk and banana the way turning in ice and salt works on home-made ice cream (sort of) so you wind up with a thick, frozen shake that is pretty ymmy without adding sugar.
  • I use whole milk, but skim, rice or soy milk could be substituted.

I am from the midwest--grew up on a small farm in central Missouri. Even after attending college and living in California a couple of years, I found "making do" a vital skill. I write a little, paint a little, read a lot, tinker with music, and convert old things into new. I am currently a graduate student enrolled in Library Science Master's program through Mu's distance learning. I am also a proud gra'ma of 2 beautiful grandchildren.
