Fantabulous Meatloaf

"This is a fantastic comfort food. Applesauce is the secret ingredient to a moist, wholesome meatloaf the family will love."

• Yields: 12 individual loafs
• Serves: 12

ingredients

• 1 lb hamburger (any fat percentage)
• 1⁄2 lb maple sausage
• 1⁄2 cup unsweetened applesauce
• 2 tablespoons steak sauce
• 1⁄2 cup green pepper, diced
• 1 onion, diced
• 1 (16 ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chilies
• 1 (16 ounce) can tomato sauce
• 1 egg
• 3⁄4 cup 2% low-fat milk
• 1 cup instant oats
• 1 dash salt
• 1 dash pepper
• 1 tablespoon garlic powder
• 6 slices bacon, cut in half
• 1⁄2 cup ketchup

directions

1. In a food processer, mix together all ingredients except the bacon and ketchup. :Pulse mix about 9 or 10 pulses.
2. Remove from processer and place in muffin tins (3/4 full) or cake pan. Put 1 slice of bacon on top of meat mixture. Bake 25 minutes in a 375 degree oven. Remove from oven and top with ketchup. Place back in the oven to bake for an additional 15 minutes or until ketchup is hot and thick.

second best meatloaf ever (next to mine) I subsituted half the chili sauce with Paula Deen's apple cinnamon pork sauce
