I slightly modified the Tomato Puree recipe in the Williams-Sonoma Complete Entertaining Cookbook. It will make enough sauce for 3 large pizzas, so you can save the left overs in a jar. It's so easy and delicious, I'll never buy pre-made sauce again!

This was an easy recipe to whip up, especially if you find no pizza sauce in the cabinet! I like the taste, although I haven't made a pizza with it, yet. Looks like it will be enough for about 2 pizzas, so I may freeze the additional sauce. Thanks for sharing a tasty recipe, Larkin. Made for PAC Fall '12.
- 1 (14 ounce) candiced fire-roasted tomatoes
