So easy! One pan! Put it in the oven and take the timer outdoors with you.
- 2 cups raw macaroni
- 1⁄4 cup butter, melted
- 1 (1 lb) package Velveeta cheese, crumbled or cubed
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 quart milk
- Layer in 2 1/2 quart casserole.
- Bake uncovered 1 hour and 15 minutes in 325 degree oven.
Super easy and my whole family loved it! I used a combination of 2% velveeta and sharp cheddar. It was the perfect side dish with our barbeque. I got to spend time with the kids instead of inside cooking!! Thanks!!
This didn't come out as good as I expected. Not sure why as I followed directions.
Thank you so much for posting this recipe! It tastes fantastic and is very easy to prepare. So easy, in fact, that it was prepared for dinner tonight entirely by my 8 year old daughter! A very good recipe for the beginner cook to gain confidence and an awesome standby for the more experience cook who would rather be outside in the garden than inside on a beautiful day. The only changes I made were that I used cooking spray liberally on the pan and reduced the butter by half, I used skim milk and used all 2% cheeses...colby, monetery jack, sharp cheddar and milk cheddar mixed. I think this recipe would work well with just about any cheese you have leftover in your cheese bin at the end of the week. Again, thank you so much!
