No idea where the original recipe came from, but my family has been making chili this way for decades.
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 medium onions (coarse chop)
- 2 (15 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes
- 2 (15 ounce) cans kidney beans
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- to taste additional salt, to taste, when simmering
- Brown ground beef and 1 tsp. salt.
- Add onions and cook until onions are limp.
- Add remaining ingredients, bring to boil, cover and simmer for 1 hour.
