Dog Cookies

"I've been going through my collection of dog food/treat recipes and decided to post this one. I'm afraid I no longer remember where I found this recipe. I haven't made this yet so I'm not sure how many cookies you'll get. The cooking time does not include the time to boil the liver."

• Yields: 1 batch

ingredients

• 1 lb cooked liver (boiled in water until brown)
• 2 eggs (including the shells)
• 1 cup wheat germ
• 1 cup cottage cheese
• 3 1⁄2 cups wheat flour

directions

1. Place the liver, eggs and enough water to process in a food processor or blender and process until smooth.
2. In a bowl, mix the wheat germ, cottage cheese and flour.
3. Add the liver mixture to the wheat germ mixture and mix well.
4. Roll out until thin, cut out in desired shapes.
5. Place on greased baking sheet and bake at 325 F for 1 hour.
6. The cookies must be hard when done.

well since both my kittys love liver I made these for them one loved them and walked away, I will make these again for my kitty who loved them, thanks Shar!
