  1. Tasted like peanut butter play dough. There is no sweetener, so I added date sugar. My husband who is not picky said, this needs something sweet in it. I think it was a waste of my time and food.

  2. I was a little disappointed by this recipe. The end result was bland, and as the previous reviewer said, it took a lot more peanut butter to get them to stick together than the recipe calls for. I used a whole pint. The chunks of dried apple give them a chewy texture, but it was tiring cutting the dried apple rings I used. It would be better to use apple pieces that were more finely chopped before drying. One reason I made this is because I love coconut, but the peanut butter overwhelmed it. One person in my family likes them, but not enough to convince me to make them again.

  3. I made half the batch with "natural" peanut butter and half the batch with raw almond butter. I didn't really like these at first, but I had tagged them for Healthy Choices ABC. I made them a few days ago and thought the almond butter ones were kind of bland and weird and the peanut butter ones were very salty. (I suppose that may just be the brand of peanut butter, Aldi.) Tonight I said to myself, "well, you'd better get around to reviewing those," and pulled them off the shelf. I was surprised to find the almond ones had been almost polished off! Someone around here liked them. And I tried the peanut butter ones again. They were not bad. I guess they grew on me. Oh, to get them to stick together, they definitely required more peanut butter than the recipe asked for.
