  1. Make the filling: Boil dates, honey, and water until thick, about 5-10 minutes.
  2. add the nuts.
  3. Set aside to cool a bit.
  4. Prepare the crust: Combine all dry ingredients with the melted butter.
  5. Press half of the mixture into a lightly greased 13 x 9 pan.
  6. Cover with filling mixture and top with remaining half of crust mixture. Smooth on Apple Sauce.
  7. Press lightly.
  8. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
  9. Cut into squares when cool. Place in fridge to firm up.
