    Ingredients:

    Serves: 6-8

    Directions:

      Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
    2. 2
      Grease and flour two 8-inch round cake pans or one 13x9x2 cake pan, set aside.
    3. 3
      Combine all ingredients in the order listed EXCEPT PRUNES AND PECANS. Stir until smooth by hand approximately 75 strokes. If using a mixer, blend on medium speed about 2 minutes.

      Stir in prunes and chopped pecans.
    5. 5
      Pour batter into prepared pans and bake in oven approximately 45 minutes or until a knife inserted through center come out clean.
