Dad's Cranberry Relish

"This relish-type condiment is tangy and sweet, requires no cooking, and made in the food processor in less than 5 minutes. Beware this takes 3 days for flavors to meld. My dad made it every year for Thanksgiving and Christmas."

  • *Very Important* This takes 3 days to marinate flavors and be palatable.
  • Using a food processor, strong blender or food processor,.
  • Chop/grind cranberries and oranges (with peel) together in batches to resemble pickle relish (save all juices).
  • Place all ground fruits and juices into Ziploc type baggie or bowl with fitted lid.
  • Add sugar into relish and knead bag, or stir, ingredients.
  • Place in refrigerator.
  • Knead or stir every time you get into the refrigerator, or at least 3 times a day.
  • *This will taste very bitter if sampled on days 1 or 2.
  • This relish keeps well in the refrigerator up to 14 days.
  • A little serving goes a long way.
