This is an adopted recipe that I have not yet tried. The original chef states that these are exactly like the real thing except no mess no fuss.

Directions

  1. Cut in butter with flour.
  2. Add water until dough forms, let chill.
  3. Roll out dough and cut into round circles.
  4. Blind bake them at 375 degrees for 15 minutes.
  5. Let cool.
  6. Beat eggs with sugar until pale.
  7. Chill overnight.
  8. Pour filling into shells and sprinkle with sugar.
  9. Place under broiler for 2 minutes and chill.
