  • Melt the butter in a saucepan.
  • Whisk in the cornstarch.
  • Add the remaining ingredients and heat on low until thickened.
  • Pour into the pie shell.
  • Cool to room temperature or refrigerate before serving.

  1. Great chocolate filling. Very smooth and flavorfull. Usually I use flour, but the cornstarch seems to result in a more creamer texture. I did add more chocolate cocoa just because I like a deeper chocolate taste.
