The only reason I am giving this only 4 stars is because I didn't make it as written. I had to sub the pecans with mixed nuts (walnuts, cashews and p-nuts), and I had only 1/4cup of sweetened coconut flakes, so I added another 1/4 of the all natural unsweetened stuff. This was wonderfully , rich and delicious. I would recommend a good cup of coffee or a nice cold glass of milk. It would be pretty if garnished with a dollop of whipped cream with a few chocolate shavings,,, but totally over the top if you did, it is this good. Hubby and I had this after we had a "light supper of veggie sandwiches, which I am glad we did, otherwise I may not have fit in my jeans. Thank you Loves2teach!

I would give it 5 stars... because it is so easy to make and very good... but it is almost too sweet. We make such small slices... that I am not sure when we will get it finished! Next time, I will make it when I have more people here to share it. Very good recipe! Would make a great gift and very different than most cookies in a jar type recipe. Mary in KS

I am a teacher, and have been married to my high school sweetheart for almost 9 years. I have a niece who is 7, and a nephew who is 1. Also, I have 2 sweet kitties. Sinatra is a bit on the plump side, and Audrey is a petite dainty thing. They both are almost mirror images of each other.
