- 118.29 ml packed brown sugar
- 118.29 ml granulated sugar
- 118.29 ml margarine, room temperature
- 4.92 ml vanilla extract
- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 354.88 ml all-purpose flour, wholewheat flour works just as well
- 2.46 ml baking powder
- 2.46 ml baking soda
- 0.61 ml salt
- 118.29 ml chocolate chips, freeze first to harden and retain their shape during baking
- 118.29 ml pecans, chopped and lightly toasted
directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Cream together brown and white sugar, margarine and vanilla extract.
- Beat in egg.
- Sift in flour, baking powder and soda and salt until combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
- Drop dough by heaped tablespoonfuls onto sprayed SHINY baking sheet.
- Bake 1o to 12 minutes, depending on your oven.
- Cool on wire rack.
- Freeze really well.
