- 1892.72 ml water
- 3 diced tomatoes
- 2 stalk celery, diced
- 1 onion, diced
- 6 whole cloves
- 1 inch cinnamon stick
- 6 black peppercorns
- 4.92 ml cumin seed
- 1.23 ml red pepper flakes
- 2.46 ml turmeric

directions
- Rinse and sort through the chickpeas for any debris.
- Place all ingredients in the crockpot.
- Cover and cook 6-8 hours or until chickpeas are tender.
- Garnish each bowl with olive oil and lemon juice and your choice of remaining garnishes.
