Caramel Dip in the Crock Pot

"This is a wonderful little dip for whatever you want to dip in it. We like Granny Smith apples, and once in a while I add a banana to dip in, while the kids aren't watching."

  1. Yum!! The kids absolutely loved this. We went through a LOT of apples! Didn't use peanut butter but will next time. Am sure that's delicious, too. Melted the butter in the crock insert in the microwave, then stirred in other ingredients. Directions didn't specify how long to cook in the crockpot, so in my 1 1/2 qt crockpot, I cooked about 5 hours to allow the sweetened condensed milk time to carmelize. At the end it should be about the color of peanut butter. Be sure to stir several times while cooking, a whisk works well. Thanks for sharing!
