Buttery Apples and Cabbage

- 4 cups cabbage, cubed
- 2 cups tart apples (unpeeled and cubed)
- 1 cup water
- 1⁄4 cup butter
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (chopped)
directions
- in a pot stir in 1 cup water add cabbage, cover and cook until cabbage is crisp but tender, drain.
- in a pan add the butter, salt, nutmeg stir until butter is melted.
- add the apples, cover and stir occasionally until apples are crisp tender.
- sprinkle with parsley and serve while hot.

Tasty! How can you go wrong with cabbage, apples and butter. The nutmeg is a nice addition, how ever fond the parsley a bit distracting. We like parsley but felt that it took a way from all the other wonderful flavors. Made as written and next will do the same leaving out the parsley. Thanks so much for the post.
