When I made this, I didnt have any buttermilk, so I added 1 tbsp of lemon juice to the milk, beat it and let it sit for about 5 mins. These were awesome waffles!

  1. Mix Dry ingredidents together.
  2. Measure milk, oil and egg yolk in a pyrex measuring cup. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, beat egg white, add sugar, beat until peaks are firm and glossy. Beat in vanilla.
  4. Pour milk mix in with dry ingreds. Whisk until just mixed.
  5. Fold in egg white.

These were easy to put together and the instructions were clear. The recipe made 6 heart shaped waffles, so the recipe isn't for a crowd. I followed the recipe to the letter, but these were only alright. I didn't think they were that flavorful; I was looking for something better than my current waffle recipe.
