This is a very quick, easy, and delicious recipe for bourbon chicken and the one I make most often -- and it really contains bourbon!
- Make marinade and add chicken. Pour into a large ziplock bag, and refrigerate several hours or overnight, turning occasionally.
- Pour contents into a deep baking dish, cover and bake at 350º for 45 to 60 minutes.
- Serve over rice if desired.
I really liked this dish. Anything with bourbon in it is a hit with me! I did cut back on the soy sauce to about 3/4 cup and added an extra tablespoon and a half of bourbon. Very, very good. We will be having it again.
This is a base recipe. Very flexible. I've been known to add in onions, white wine and a bit of crystallized ginger. Every time is a good time. Thank you, it's a yummy one!
I've never had Bourbon Chicken, so don't have anything to compare to. The predominant flavor was soy sauce. I couldn't detect bourbon or garlic. I suppose I thought the flavor would have more depth. Still not a bad dish--everybody cleaned their plates. Just not quite what I was expecting. Thanks for a new recipe to try.
