I too loved this recipe for the taste alone w/the addition of buttermilk. It really comes thru nicely. So rich and thick. My fruits were all frozen plus I still added the addition of 4 icecubes. This was perfect for a HOT summer day at the pool. It stayed cold and was quite fillling. Made for HolidayTag.!~
This was DELICIOUS! I'm really gaining an affinity for buttermilk in non-baked goods...it adds a richness and tangyness that is very YUMMY without being too bad for you. I made this as directed with 2T of Splenda instead of sugar. Made for 1-2-3 hit wonders.
Actually I used raspberries & and a frozen banana instead of ice cubes, and honey in place of the sugar. I needed to use up some buttermilk and this was really great since normally I only use buttermilk for baking. The buttermilk reminded me of a yogurt flavor. Thank you for posting!! UPDATE: I changed my mind and I LOVE THIS!! I love the the yogurty tangyness and how ultra creamy it is. YUMMY!!
