  • Stir together sugar and baking mix.
  • Add milk, eggs, and vanilla and mix well.
  • Spread into 9x9 pan coated with vegetable oil spray.
  • Place butter and brown sugar into microwave safe cup and heat until mixture looks "slushy.".
  • Sprinkle pecans over the cake mix and then sprinkle/spread the butter and brown sugar mixture on top of the pecans.
  • Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Let cool in pan for 10 minutes before serving.

  1. This didn't go over well at a brunch at church, but my kids loved it as "Sugar Cake".... I topped it with Kittencal's "Easy Creamy White Glaze" and they LOVED it.
