I too am from Hawaii and love this American-Chinese dish. I made a few teaks of my own. 1) Minced 1/2 tsp fresh Ginger Root & 1 Garlic clove; added these to the hot oil and then the marinaded Beef. 2) I used Sake rather than White Wine-mainly `cuz I have that in my pantry ;) 3) I only used 1 Tbsp. oil the the pan, it was WAY too greasy otherwise 4) After stir frying the Broccoli for 1-2 minutes, I added about 1/4 - 1/2 C. water, covered and steamed for a bit til the veg was crisp-tender 5) I used Beef Broth rather than water, much more flavorful & I DOUBLED the sauce...that's goes so good atop that bowl of steamed hot rice! 6) I added -> 1/8 tsp. White Pepper, used alot in Asian cooking

Delicious! This is one of our favorite dishes to order at restaurants, so I was happy to find a quick and easy recipe that I could make at home. I did double the finishing sauce, but next time I think that I would double the entire recipe as this didn't seem to make a lot and I would quadruple the finishing sauce. I served this over pan-fried yakisoba noodles. **Made for 2016 Culinary Quest for Pi Rho Maniacs - Japan**

This is a favorite of mine and only have ordered it in restaurants. Now I can make it at home and enjoy it a lot more! Did double the sauce as other reviewers had done, used a large skillet instead of a wok, and eye of round steak. Will be making this again! Made and reviewed for the Culinary Quest - 2015.

Beef and Broccoli is by far one of my very favorite meals and this recipe didn't disappoint. I tripled the sauce so that I would have enough to serve this over rice and it was so good. I really, really loved this and am sure I will be making this again and again. It was much easier than other versions I have tried and I thought it tasted closer to the beef and broccoli we get at our local Chinese restaurant. Thanks for a new family favorite Lavender Lynn. Made for PAC Spring 2014.
