Balls of Raw Energy

"I'm experimenting with home-made energy bar recipes and came up with this. I've just made it and it seems good enough to share. It should last a long time in the fridge, if you can wait... I used hand tools but it would be quicker to use a machine."

  • Put the dates into a big mixing bowl.
  • Using a rotary cheese grater, grate the pecans into the bowl.
  • Use a strong fork to cream together the dates & pecans.
  • Add the oats (small rolled oats, not jumbo) and water.
  • Knead the dough together.
  • Scoop up the dough 1 teaspoon at a time and roll into little balls.
