This is good with extra soy sauce served on the side.
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Chinese five spice powder
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground red pepper
- 1⁄2 teaspoon sesame oil
- In a cup, stir all ingredients together.
- Rub full amount all over steaks before grilling.
- Makes 3 tablespoons.
Very nice - but pretty salty. I would reduce the amount of salt to half, perhaps - otherwise the flavours were wholesome and went very well together with lamb steaks.
