Simple-to-make pastries good for snacks or desserts around the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons. Raisins can be substituted for the cranberries.

Ingredients Nutrition

  1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add apples through cinnamon; cook, stirring frequently, 5 minutes.
  3. Add apricot preserves and dried cranberries with 1/4 cup water.
  4. Cook, stirring, about 4-5 minutes until apples are tender; remove from heat and let cool (sauce should thicken).
  5. Separate biscuit dough into 8 rounds and use a rolling pin to roll each out to a 6-inch circle.
  6. Mound about 1/3-1/2 cup apple mixture in center of each circle of dough and wrap the dough around the filling, pressing together the seams to enclose.
  7. Place wraps on greased baking sheets, seam side down; sprinkle tops with 1 tablespoon sugar.
  8. Bake at 375º approximately 15 minutes until golden brown.

1-2-3 hit tag 2008 I really liked these but Dh wasn't as enthusiastic. I liked the cranberries and the apples, not too sure yet of the apricot. The apples cooked nicely and the sauce did thicken correctly believe. This was simple to put together and again I liked the flavors and the texture of these. i will make again and maye this time try with a different preserve and perhaps use tortillas as well. YUM, sounds good thinking of it. :-) These transported well. I took 2 leftovers to work the next day, zapped them for 10 sec to just take chill off. They came out great,

These make a great quick and easy dessert that's not too sweet. Would also make a nice addition to a Christmas brunch. Rolled out on wax paper and baked on a silpat, both of which worked well. A drizzle of powdered sugar glaze would be a festive touch. Thanks, eebrag, for sharing the recipe!
