American Chop Suey

"This recipe was my grandmother's and it has such amazing flavor. The key to flavor is cooking it on medium low heat for about 3 hours. You want the bacon to melt in your mouth. Preparation is quick and easy. You can start this recipe around 1:00 in the afternoon and dinner is on the table at 5:00"

Since the age of 9 I've been cooking. Many of the recipes I've learned have been through my grandmother, mother and ex-mother-in-law from homemade extra large biscuits w/tuna (grandmother) to rice and beans w/gandules and stuffed potatoes w/seasoned ground beef (ex-mother-in-law). I simply love to cook and get great satisfaction when I see people eating the foods that I make and always get great reviews from them. It inspires me all the more! One thing I love to do is experiment with foods and it's ingredients. You would be amazed of what you can come up with just by accident!
