Perfect for a warm summer day, this is from a "Forgotten Recipes" cookbook published in 1981 dedicated to recipes 'From the Magazines you loved...and the Days you Remember.'
- Combine the fruit juices, sugar, and water; stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- Now, add the gingerale and serve over cracked ice.
Really refreshing! Grapefruit, lemon and ginger is great combo!
Very refreshing drink. Love the grapefruit and lemon combination. The sugar was just the right amount for us. The first time I made this I used ginger ale the second time I ran out of ginger ale and had some sparkling grapefruit on hand and tried that both were awesome. Great summertime drink that we will enjoy again thanks philocrates for sharing this recipe. Made for My-3-Chefs.
Not sure why this is callled "Eskimo", but it's great on a warm Fall afternoon, too. Be sure to use unsweeetned juice. Or taste before adding the sugar. I only needed 1/4 cup of sugar. A half cup would have been too sweet; or maybe that's the flavor they had in mind... ',
