15 Minute Lemon Pasta

- 1 medium yellow onion
- 2 tablespoons butter (Room Temperature)
- 4 large garlic cloves
- 1 lemon (or 2 tablespoons lemon juice)
- 2 tablespoons capers
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 (8 ounce) package spaghetti (can be gluten free pasta as well)
- salt and pepper
directions
- Put water on to boil for pasta and salt
- Chop onion and mince garlic.
- Put pasta in to boil.
- Heat butter in a medium saute pan until melted.
- Add garlic and onion and saute on medium heat for 3-4 minutes.
- Add capers and saute for another 2-3 minutes.
- Turn off Heat mix in olive oil and add salt and pepper to taste
- Let cool until pasta is done, and add mixture to pasta immediately after straining so flavors absorb into the pasta.
- Add lemon juice, mix with pasta mixture thoroughly and enjoy!
- Its great as is, but you can also add in anything you like (e.g. fresh basil, chicken breast, broccoli).
