- Yields:
-
60 cookies
ingredients
- 1 cup butter, at room temperature
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1⁄2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1⁄4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
directions
- Place the oven rack in the middle then preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugars together. Beat in the eggs, one at a time then add the vanilla extract and beat until incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, stir the flour, baking powder, baking soda & salt then add to the butter mixture.
- Once combined, stir in the chocolate chips.
- Using a small cookie scoop, scoop a level amount and arrange on the cookie sheets about 3 inches apart. Flatten slightly.
- Bake one cookie sheet at a time for 12 - 14 minutes (time varies depending on your oven).
- Let cool for 2 minutes on the cookie sheet, then remove to a cooling rack.
- Note: I find that the absolute best cookie sheet, that doesn't require greasing and cooks evenly, is the Doughmakers brand.
