    Rice Cooker Recipes

Recipes that can be prepared in a rice cooker (regular on/off one or a fuzzy logic one). A fuzzy logic rice cooker is incredibly versatile! I also recommend the book The Ultimate Rice Cooker Cookbook : 250 No-Fail Recipes for Pilafs, Risottos, Polenta, Chilis, Soups, Porridges, Puddings and More, from Start to Finish in Your Rice Cooker by Beth Hensperger, Julie Kaufmann for many rice cooker recipes.

    Recipe #270800

Healthy and easy rice cooker dish that you don't have to babysit, inspired by a Moosewood creation. This will be more like a casserole consistency than a stew, because the barley soaks up the cooking liquid. You can sub a can of diced tomatoes for the tomato paste and water. You may top with shredded cheddar cheese if you wish. This reheats wonderfully.

I partially winged it and partially borrowed from other recipes I've tried before. This rice was cooked in a Zojirushi Fuzzy Logic Rice cooker (5 cups), which is like the Porsche of rice cookers. Most of the vegetables where chopped with the slop chop. The ginger and the garlic where pressed in a hand-grater.

So I got a rice cooker. So of course I went in search of recipes for it...This was one that I found that looked really good. I've changed it slightly to a full meal in one. My cooked takes 90 mins for brown rice... if yours takes a different time adjust accordingly.

    Recipe #421401

This is simple, while you are making your salad, slicing the bread, pouring your wine, and setting the table, your meal will be made all in twenty minutes. This does not come out starchy, it cooked exactly right. Give it a try in your rice cooker soon. Please remember the sauce you use should be the one that you like the best. Measure accurately the water, sauce, and the pasta. Do not think heaping is the same as two cups, if you do, then you are risking a starchy saucey result. Also I have used rigatoni and penne always with good result.

The rice pilaf part of this comes from Hensperfer and Kaufmanns' Ultimate Rice Cooker Cookbook. I used a Sanyo Fuzzy Logic rice cooker (6 cup). The lemon and wine steams the shrimp nicely while the rice cooks.

Why not use the appliance that sits in the cabinet for more things than the expected. When you have guests this is a great way to make eggs and keep them warm for when people get up in waves. Good for a buffet breakfast too! Might also be a great way for the dorm kids to make their own breakfast?

    Recipe #104360

This looks so yummy I can't wait to try it...

    Recipe #422039

This is an old stand by for me, its quick and easy and can be served as a main dish or side dish. Its great with a nice middle eastern salad and a side of yoghurt and also goes well with baked lamb or roasts. This is a great potluck dish as well.Seasoning are approximate, you can adjust to suit your tastes.

    Recipe #83892

Another yummy sounding recipe from Aroma. I've modified this to make a meal in one...cooking rice and chicken and veggies at the same time. Again my brown rice settting is 90 mins. Adjust time according to your machine.

    Recipe #421407

Cobbarannam--spells coconut rice in Telugu (a language of India). My Mom and Nanis (grandmothers) made this for special days like birthdays, anniversaries and even Christmas :) They served it with chicken curry!! Yum!! Whole spices may be used for making the dish but are removed before eating.

    Recipe #394995

from Aroma.com I have not tried it yet. can't wait to! This is an easy, one pot meal with lots of flavor.

    Recipe #404428

I am getting tired I guess so when I recently tried another cooking method for a favorite recipe and it was fast, easy and fun I wanted to branch out so I have been working out some other recipes for the same low work approcah. I prefer to add in extras after the polenta is cooked (like cheese for example). Good luck!

    Recipe #405063

from Aroma.com, I have not tried yet.

This is from a wonderful book, The Ultimate Rice Cooker Cookbook, by Hensperger and Kaufmann. It makes a wonderful, creamy oatmeal with no watching or muss or fuss. Definitely use steel-cut oats, which have a wonderful texture, so superior to the regular stuff. I usually use dried cranberries, raisins or currants, instead of the dates.

    Recipe #142363

This is a very tasty, moist, Carrot Cake. A nice sized cake for 2 or 3 people.

    Recipe #52804

This is the perfect solution to a pasta-lover who lives without a stove top. I cooked this recipe in my rice cooker. This entire recipe cost around $0.35 a person. I made this in my 6-cup rice cooker.

Another one from crenita2 at the yahoo group ricecookerrecipes. I need to share the rice cooker fun with everyone. Enjoy.

    Recipe #289825

My husband LOVES rice pudding. I like using my appliances for everything, and have taken to modifying everything I can for the appliances that do all the work. here is a really good one. My DH tends to like alot of texture in his stuff. you can leave out the apples and raisins if you prefer and it turns out just as great. NOTE: when you look in there, it may look like it is over cooking. it is an illusion. Just stir it up.

    Recipe #316054

Printed from COOKS.COM Needed rice cooker recipe and found this. The time for cooking depends on your rice cooker. The time I put is an estimate.
