  1. I make this quite a bit. I prefer red onions in this, sometimes use sunflower seeds, and sometimes leave out the cheese. Very easy to put together, and very tasty. I do cut the sugar down a bit, but have also been known to double everything except the dressing as I prefer it to be drier. It is a very forgiving salad, and always tasty.

  2. This is just so good! I could live on this for a while quite easily. I used 1 large head of broccoli, about 3 cups sliced, and 1 red onion, sliced. 1 tbs of sugar just might be enough for us.

  3. This was very good tasting and easy, too. It did need a little more dressing. I followed the recipe exactly! Thanks for a good recipe.

  5. 5 star all the way, great flavor. I cut the recipe back to 1 serving, used sweet red onions and aged cheddar. This salad would be lovely as a side dish for a buffet. It was great for lunch. Each ingredient can be tasted, yet they seem to meld together to please the palate Next time I make it instead of chopping the broccoli I will cut small florets and save a couple of onion rings to decorate the salad. Thanks PCrocker for a lovely lunch

I was born in Newfoundland, Canada. I grew up watching my grandmother bake bread and knit. <br>I now live in a friendly little town on the coast of North Carolina. I love to bake, especially bread and desserts. I also love to knit, especially socks, just like my grandmother. I am the co-owner of a yarn shop in our little town. When I'm not working in the shop I am usually at home in the kitchen!
