Cherry Delights

"This is another Christmas favorite in my house! I used to have so much fun pressing the cherries onto each cookie when I was younger. These cookies are sweet and delicious, both with and without the nuts! Cook time is if you bake about a dozen at a time."

  1. Very good and very easy! I made these tonight for my son's preschool Xmas party tomorrow. My husband was instructed to start steps 1-4.....he put the egg whites in the dough mix and threw out the egg yolks! Anyway, I omitted step 6 (no egg whites/no nuts in case of unknown nut allergies for the kids) and baked them; they turned out just fine. I sprinkled them with powdered sugar too. Thanks, Kree! (Next time I will be not be splitting the task of baking these with DH!) Grrrr! LOL!

  2. Very good! Not too sweet and very tasty. I made 2 batches with nuts, one without, and one with coconut instead. The coconut batch was fantastic! I cooked 1 batch 20 minutes and reduced it to 17 for the others, but I think I may have made them a bit small as I got about 55 cookies out of this recipe. Great for Christmas cookie baskets!

  3. Just made this recipe. I melted white chocolate chips and drizzled them over the top. My very picky girls really liked it, but this time they're getting sent across country!

  4. These were really good cookies. As another chef suggested, I made one batch rolled in nuts, one rolled in coconut, and left one plain. Coconut is not my favorite thing, but I liked the cookies rolled in coconut the best.

I'm a real estate agent in the lovely city of Rochester, New York. That's not what I expected to do with my life. I got my bachelor's in psychology, my masters in literacy education, and I taught high school special education for two years. Then I discovered that helping people find the homes of their dreams was my real passion. I've been doing it for over two years now and still absolutely love my career. Other than that, I have a very spoiled Border Collie mix named Bear that I adopted from a local shelter in spring '08. He's gorgeous and fun and brings me great joy. Now if only I could find a man like that... LOL!
