I love my cucumber sandwiches. I tried hundreds of different ones and had 7 logged in my files. This is the 8th one filed there. My favorite way of doing this recipe is to use a dark rye with mayo, Havarti cheese, ( I've tried cream cheese, provilone, mozzerilla, even queso fresca, [fresh cheese, Mexican style],I could spend a whole paragraph on how wonderful incredably sharp, New York Chedar taste here.) and I also add sprouts. (A mix of alphafa and radish seeds, sprouted for 3 days.) I put the cummin seeds on to toast in a cast iron frying pan over low heat while I prep the rest of the sandwich. I then grind them just before I use them. Add freshly ground Tellicherry black or maybe white pepper and you have a cucumber sandwich fit for the Gods. Thanx for posting this great recipe.
