ingredients
- 1⁄3 cup shortening
- 3⁄4 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 3⁄4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup banana, mashed
- 1 cup walnuts, chopped
directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Mix shortening and sugar.
- Add eggs and beat well until creamed.
- Mix flour, baking soda, salt, and baking powder together.
- Alternate adding dry ingredients, mashed bananas, and walnuts until well mixed.
- Pour batter into well greased 9" x 5" loaf pan and bake 50 minutes.
