Orange Cookies

"My Mother always made these cookies for the Holidays and I've continued the tradition. They are a very nice drop cookie with a bit of icing."

• Yields: 24-36 Cookies

ingredients

• 3⁄4 cup Crisco
• 1 1⁄4 cups sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1⁄2 cup orange juice
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 3 cups flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 orange rind, grated (optional)
• frosting
• 1 orange, juice of
• 3 tablespoons butter, melted
• powdered sugar

directions

1. Cream crisco and sugar together. Add in eggs and orange juice. Mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda then add and mix together.
2. Drop by small teaspoon. Bake for 12 min at 350 degrees.
