Havana Delight (Carnival Cocktail #4)

"I got a bar menu on-board ship during our recent cruise & had the names of some specialty drinks, but no recipes for them. Most were tasted, touted by another (there were 6 of us) or just sounded good to me. I did the Zaar searches & most had already been posted to Zaar, but I found a few of the others at the Carnival Connections site."

  1. I doubled the drink but didn't double the coconut cream. It was sweet enough for me and DH. So for us this drink was a bit too sweet. Next time I will use less coconut cream and add more rum. Thanks twissis :) Made for ZWT9

  2. Oooooh, so good! DH says its a total "chick drink" but I don't care! It goes down so nice and easy! This drink has a wonderful combination of flavors and mine came out all frosty and slushy from the magic bullet. Thanks for posting!

  3. I love this - great combination of flavors, yet smooth and slightly sweet with the coconut cream. Thanks for posting, I'll add this to the cocktail rotation LOL. Made for your FOOTBALL POOL 2010 win!

  4. A tasty cocktail indeed. The coconut cream added a nice twist (sweet, yet not over the top) to the classic rum and kahlua pairing. Made for the 2010 Football Pool game. Thanks for posting a great cocktail recipe, twissis.

  5. OMG!! Love the combos here.. Going to make another one and add an 1/2 ounce coconut cream. Made for Football Pool.

I am an American transplanted from Dallas to Iceland by marriage to a native Icelander & I retired to become his "Kitchen Queen". We love to entertain our family & friends, so I have an eclectic collection of recipes. I especially love simple, easy-fix, flexible & make-ahead recipes - BUT also like challenging myself on occasion. I enjoy baking & food photography. I am devoted to the "More is Always Better Principle" & apply it liberally to bacon, butter & garlic. I can have ingredient issues due to availability here in Iceland & my DH is medically diet-restricted from some ingredients as well. Either situation might require me to modify a recipe, but I will do my best to be true to your recipes & fair/honest in my reviews. Mary Pat (aka twissis)
