ingredients
- 4 large ripe beefsteak tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons za'atar spice mix
directions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Core tomatoes & slice into thick rounds (thirds or fourths).
- Place in 1 layer on a large sided baking sheet. Drizzle a small amount of olive oil on each tomato & sprinkle za'atar on top.
- Bake for 10 minutes or until hot but not mushy.

Wonderful way to use tomatoes! Such a great recipe! I made my own Za'atar from your Za'atar recipe, although I did add a few pine nuts to the mix as I did not have enough sesame seeds. The flavour works so well with the baked tomatoes. The family really enjoyed this recipe and I will be making this again. Thanks Elmotoo for another fantastic recipe.
