ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1⁄2 cup chopped pecans
- 1⁄2 cup melted butter
- 1 (10 ounce) package cream cheese
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups Cool Whip
- 1 (2 ounce) box instant chocolate pudding mix
- 1 cup milk
- 1 (2 ounce) box instant vanilla pudding
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups Cool Whip
directions
- Crust: Mix furst three ingredients and press into 9x13 pan.
- Bake at 350 about 15 minute; Cool.
- Layer 1: Cream together the cream cheese and powdered sugar; Fold in 2c cups of the cool whip; Spread over crust; Cool about 10 minutes.
- Layer 2: Mix the chocolate pudding with 3/4c milk; Spread over layer 1.
- Let set for about 10 minute Layer 3: Mix the vanilla pudding with 3/4c milk.
- Spread over layer 2.
- Let set for about 10 minute Layer 4: Spread cool whip over top and sprinkle with chopped pecans.
- Let set in refrigerator still set.

This was very good dessert. It was easy to make once you figured out the recipe. First, cream cheese does not come in 10 oz pkg. I used the 8 oz and it worked fine. Second, Chocolate or Vanilla Instant Pudding does not come in 2 oz. Most are around 4 oz. I prepared the chocolate pudding according to the box directions and omitted the vanilla to keep from making both but only using 1/2 of each.

This is a really good recipe, but I was a bit confused by the directions. The ingredients call for 1 cup of milk with each pudding and the instructions say 3/4 cup. I used the one cup per pudding and it turned out fine. I also used sugar free pudding mixes because of a slight sugar problem, and that worked fine also. Served this to a group and they all loved it.
