  1. Yummie! Youre right, this is the "ultimate" oatmeal cookie. Its chewy and incredible, plus my whole house smelled good. This would be the perfect autumn cookie b/c it tastes like pumkin bread meets oatmeal raisin cookie. Thanks!!

  4. I don't like cookies that much, but this one is truly a winner. I replaced the raisins with 1 cup of chopped nuts, personal choice, and it was perfect. Thank you for sharing your recipe.

Tweaks

  1. Fabulous! I loved all the different types of spices, it made for a great oatmeal cookie with a new taste. I tried using walnuts instead of raisins and they were terrific. If you like lots of walnuts I would recommend using 2 1/2 cups of walnut halves. If you just want a little bit of walnuts taste then use 2 cups chopped walnuts. You could also do raisins and walnuts if you like.

  2. I love this recipe! I substituted whole wheat flour; and used turbinado sugar instead of the white sugar. As a result I had to cook them a few minutes more. Next time I will put in half as many raisins and add walnuts. Thank you! This recipe is a winner.
